Principal's Message

Dear West High Warriors,

The 2019-2020 school year has begun and we are excited to start back to school in August this year.  As the year unfolds, West High recognizes that we as an integral part to our Torrance community and therefore are committed to achieving high standards.  In this communication you will find highlights of continued successes and accomplishments, communication and resource information, and a calendar of events.  We value, and thank you in advance, for our working partnership.

West High can point to many sources of Warrior Pride thanks to your dedicated community support efforts.  Recently we concluded local bond measures Y & Z and T & U which increased site safety measures, upgraded technology, updated and modernized facilities, and added campus beautification. These bond measures reinforce and support our district and school’s mission in providing students with meaningful learning experiences within a safe and enriching environment.

West High School is a Professional Learning Community dedicated to leading the way in developing critical and creative thinkers, advancing college and career readiness, and continuing in the community as a South Bay destination high school. This past year, West High was once again recognized as a California Distinguished School, and additionally named a California Exemplary Arts School.
