Science Assignments

We are so excited to start this new school year.  Please remember to bring your binder, science notebook, agenda, and supplies everyday.  This website will be updated every Monday (unless there are things that need to be changed during the week) and will show the class/home work for the week.  As always, the most recent changes will come from the classroom.All this information - classwork and homework - will be posted on the boards in the class everyday, it will be up to you to check those boards and copy it down in your planners/agenda books:)

Quarter 3 starts today! We have a fresh start!

Monday, 1/27 - Go over the article "Thousands of Rubber Ducks" and start annotating article "Friendly Floaties" also watch short clip of Rubber Duck song.  HW - finish annotating the second article "Friendly Floaties" by tomorrow.

Tuesday, 1/28 - Go over article "New System to Clean Up Plastic" start charting evidence for CER.  HW - to be posted on the board, write it down.

Wednesday, 1/29 - Research ideas and start CER assignment.  HW - to be posted on the board, write it down.

Thursday, 1/30 - Finish CER assignment and revise. HW - to be posted on the board, write it down.

Friday, 1/31 - Finish final draft and turn in.

Wednesday, 2/5 - Gulf Stream Questions,   HW - finish Gulf Stream Questions; Quickcheck next Tuesday "Weather vs Climate"

Thursday, 2/6 - Update new table of contents; Climate vs. Weather Card sort; HW - Quickcheck Tuesday "Weather vs Climate"!!!!!  Study!!!

Friday, 2/7 - Weather Makes A Climate worksheet; Bill Nye Climate video and questions; HW - finish worksheets, Study for "Weather vs. Climate" Quickcheck on Tuesday.

Tuesday, 2/11 - Quickcheck on weather vs climate.

Wednesday, 2/12 - Interactive Reader 15-3 "What is Climate" read and annotate, go over/discuss.  HW - finish Interactive Reader 15-3 by tomorrow.

Thursday, 2/13 - Go over Interactive Reader 15-3, start powerpoint and go over, start chart.  HW - to be posted on the board in class.

Friday, 2/14 - Finish the chart and intro project/discuss.  HW - choose a city by Tuesday 2/18!!!!

Monday, 2/17 - Holiday, no school

Tuesday, 2/18 - Research information for your city, fill out at least two boxes on chart, and at least 3 or more sections on the weather chart - all in your packet.  HW - finish the two boxes on your chart and finish at least 3 sections on the weather chart.

Wednesday, 2/19 - Continue your research about your city, fill in chart and weather sections.  HW - have your chart filled out and your weather chart filled out by tomorrow.  HW - finish both the city chart and weather chart by tomorrow.

Thursday, 2/20 - Now start the final draft of your city/weather project.  HW - 1/2 of the final draft done by tomorrow!

Friday, 2/21 - Finish the final draft of project.  HW - final draft should be finished by end of period or by Monday, Mrs. Yung will clarify this in class

Monday, 2/24 - Work on illustrations/coloring, putting in pen the project.  HW - project will be due in final draft form this Wednesday!!!

Tuesday, 2/25 - Finish project in every way, mount on back paper.  HW - finish the project in final draft form and turn in tomorrow with a presentation!!!

Wednesday, 2/26 - Project due in today and present, good luck!

Thursday, 2/27 - Air Mass Gallery Walk.  HW - to be posted on the board in class if any, write it down

Friday, 2/28 - Air Mass Gallery Walk finish.  HW - to be posted on the board in class if any, write it down

Monday, 3/2 - Finish the gallery walk, start to go over.  HW - have all six gallery walk sections done by tomorrow

Tuesday, 3/3 - Air Mass Powerpoint and videos/notes.  HW - everything posted on Google Classroom so finish all at home by tomorrow, it will be explained in class

Wednesday, 3/4 - Interactive Reader 15-2.  HW - to be posted on the board in class, write it down

Thursday, 3/5 - Finish the Interactive Reader 15-2.  HW - to be posted on the board in class, write it down, as of right now, there will be Unit 5 Test and Folder turn in this coming Wednesday, March 11th!

Friday, 3/6 - Go over Interactive Reader 15-2, start study guide for Unit 5 Test.  HW - Study Guide Unit 5, there will be Unit 5 Test and folder turn in this coming Wednesday, 3/11!!!!
