School Supply Checklist

Organization is the key to success in school.  The first step in getting organized is having all things needed.  Students should have the following items every day, for each class.

  • Magruder  assignment calendar/planner – (Replacement planners may be purchased in office)
  • A 3-ring notebook binder, with dividers (pocket dividers are highly recommended)
  • Ball-point pens (blue, black, and red; erasable preferred)
  • Highlighters (2 colors)
  • Markers, colored pencils, or crayons (optional)
  • Pencils (#2 lead) with erasers (Mechanical pencils are allowed; however, students must have regular pencils in case of failure/no lead)
  • Lined notebook paper
  • Four one-subject poly covered spiral notebooks to fit in 3-ring binder (required for language arts, social studies, science, and math)
  • Appropriate SSR books (see language arts teacher, if necessary)
  • Student ID or schedule (until IDs arrive)

  • Xerox paper (white or colored) - we go through a lot with copies and computer use
  • Lysol/Clorox wipes
  • Scotch tape
  • Loose leaf notebook paper
  • One subject spiral notebooks
  • pencils/pens
  • Art supplies (markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils, erasers,...)
  • Pencil sharpeners (electric or individual)
  • Facial tissues (we go through a lot during cold/flu season and the ones the school supplies have so few, we go through a box in less than a week)
  • Books (new or gently used)
  • Any other donations that you think we can use, even if gently used.
  • Science Lab consumables may be needed, we will notify you as we need them.

**Donations of Lysol/Clorox Wipes and facial tissues (Kleenex) would be appreciated. We've been cleaning our desks at least once a week to get rid of those germs and are going through the cleaning wipes quickly. Our tissue supply is running low as well. The office has some, but students blow through them in a day or two. THANK YOU!
