Tardy Policy

Arriving late after morning bell

Any student arriving to class after the 8:40 a.m. bell (9:25 on late start Tuesdays)  must report to the attendance office before going to class.

Unless student has a valid late note for an early medical, dental, or court appointment arriving late is considered an unexcused tardy.  Parents walking their children in to verify the tardy is appreciated, however as mentioned only medical, dental or court appointments will be marked as excused.

Arriving late to classes during the day

Arriving late once a class has started causes a disruption in teaching and learning. Students should make it a point to show up on time out of respect for others and themselves. Students are given time during the day to go to their lockers or take care of bathroom needs. If a student is detained in a previous class, library or at the office they will be given a note to excuse them.
