2020-2021 Return To School Planning
Thank you for your unwavering support of TUSD, especially during the physical shutdown of schools this spring. It was a difficult time for all of us, and I know first hand, the important role parents played in continuing to assist and motivate student learning at home. It was a true indication of the amazing school community in Torrance, as we were a model in the South Bay for how a community can come together to support students.
Our Board of Education has provided strong leadership throughout these challenging times and continues to engage with our community in order to make the best decisions for students, staff, and parents. On Monday night, July 13, 2020, our Board of Education approved the instructional delivery models for the 2020-2021 school year: a distance learning model for families wishing to learn from home five days per week and a blended learning model for families wishing to safely return to school for part of the week and learn from home part of the week.
