Communications Instructions for the Public (Via Zoom)
Participants must be logged into the meeting via the Zoom link published above, or by dialing in. Your Zoom participant name, or phone number, MUST match the name or phone number entered on the form(s), so that you may be accurately identified. At the appropriate time, the Board President or designee will announce your name, at which time we ask that you click "Raise Hand" in the Zoom session. You will be allowed to turn on your microphone and will have three minutes to address the Board of Education.

Request to Address the Board for Unscheduled Hearings (Non-Agenda Items) Form
The Board of Education welcomes input from the public. In order to discuss District business in an orderly manner and to help staff respond more directly, the Board Policies require that public comments to the Board comply with certain procedures, including: 1. Public comments can be submitted up until 3:00 p.m. on the day of the Board Meeting by completing this submission form; 2. Public comments to non-agenda items may address only items that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Time allotted for such comments is limited to 3 minutes per comment. Total time allotted for public input on non-agenda items is limited to 30 minutes; 3. A speaker may not relinquish his/her time to another; 4. The commenter’s name must match the name on the public comment submission form; 5. Complaints against employees or students will normally be heard in Closed Session and the District’s complaint procedure should be followed before discussion with the Board. The Board may disconnect disruptive individuals from the teleconference, if necessary. Any person who willfully disturbs any public school meeting is guilty of a misdemeanor (E.C. 32210).

Instructions to the Public - Speakers wishing to address the Board on agenda topics must complete this submission form, prior to 3:00 p.m. on the day of the Board meeting. Speakers are permitted 3 minutes per topic and the total time granted for public input shall be limited to 30 minutes per topic. The Board Policies require that public comments to the Board comply with certain procedures including items 3-5 listed in Communications.

All Board of Education Meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are held at 2336 Plaza del Amo (across the street from the main Disrtict building on the 2nd floor). Please note that the Board Room is currently unavailable and meeting location will be listed on the agenda.

** Recognition Meetings - Twice a Year the BOE will have a Recognition Only meeting to honor achievements of Teachers, Employees, Students, and Community Members (2/3/20 & 6/1/20). These meetings will be held at one of the District high schools, please check agenda for specific location.
