Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K)

At Torrance Unified, our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a bridge between preschool and Kindergarten, designed to build confidence, social skills, and early academic foundations will give your child a strong start. Our TK program provides a nurturing environment where young learners develop essential skills through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and structured routines. With a focus on early literacy, math, and social-emotional growth, TK helps children adjust to a school setting at a comfortable pace, setting them up for success in kindergarten and beyond.

We are now accepting students with birthdates from:
09/02/2021 to 09/01/2022 are now ellible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten. 
09/02/2020 to 09/01/2021 are now ellible to enroll in Kindergarten.

TK/K Priority Enrollment: Begins January 12, 2026
General TK/12 Enrollment Opens: February 10, 2026
