Safety and Security

Emergency Alerts

In the event of an emergency incident such as an earthquake, fire, or lockdown, our first priority is to ensure the safety and security of our students using regularly drilled procedures. After we are able to contact emergency responders and partner with them on the immediate needs, we will reach out to ensure that our families have all the information that you need.

In case cell phone lines are overwhelmed, we have set up a central webpage tusd.org/alerts where you can find the most up-to-date, accurate information as soon as we have it available about our drills and incidents.

Say Something Anonymous Reporting

Say SomethingTorrance Unified has partnered with the Sandy Hook Promise for several years to provide the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System to all our students and families. This vital tool enables students and families to anonymously report an issue 24/7/365 through three methods: an app, hotline, or website if they see someone (a classmate or themselves) who are at risk of harming themselves or others. All tips are handled by trained professionals and responded to immediately.

See Something that concerns you?
