Communication is a key element in engaging with our parents. When parents are engaged, they are more likely to work collaboratively with administrators and teachers to support the educational goals of the school. At the time of new enrollment, parents sign-up for a parent connect account. Keeping information in parent connect current is important because schools and the District use the primary contacts listed in the account for general and emergency communications with parents.
The District has various sources of getting news, accolades, and information to parents. School News is the District’s quarterly newspaper, which highlights important topics, events, and academic accomplishments at each one of our schools. Be sure to check out the current edition as well as previous publications on our website.
The District also has a Facebook page! On Facebook the District is able to post pictures and provide information about upcoming events and topics important to parents and the community. Be sure to like us on Facebook so you can be in the know!
Attending Board meetings is another opportunity for parents to communicate with the Board of Education and TUSD administration, or just stay informed of what is happening in the District. If you miss a meeting, you can now watch previous meetings on youtube (starting from 2015). To access meetings on youtube please go to: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbq7tYW93VwtKL1pqFsb2TA
We want to hear from our parents. If you have questions and comments please email the District Public Information Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
