Visitor Entry Screening

Keeping Our Schools Safe and Welcoming

We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for every student, staff member, and visitor. To help us maintain secure campuses, we use a trusted visitor and volunteer management system, Raptor Access, to screen all guests and print photo identification badges during each visit. This process supports safety while ensuring that our schools remain warm and welcoming places for families. This system is used widely across school districts in our region to instantly check the photo ID of all visitors against registered sex offender databases in all 50 states.

What You Can Expect When Visiting a Campus:

When arriving at any TUSD school, all visitors and volunteers will be asked to:

  • Enter through the front office
  • Provide a photo ID
  • Consent to a secure scan of their photo ID

This process usually takes less than a minute and helps ensure a safe environment for our students. All results, along with a timestamp, are kept on file for accuracy and verification.

Our Commitment to Safety

This screening process is an important part of our overall safety plan. It provides an additional layer of protection for students, teachers, staff, and families while maintaining a positive, respectful experience for all visitors. We appreciate your partnership in helping us keep our campuses safe and secure.

If you have questions about the process, please contact your school’s front office. We are here to help and want every visit to feel safe, supportive, and informed.
