Greetings from Torrance Education Foundation!

Twenty-five years! Can we really be celebrating a quarter-century of giving?  Our community created Torrance Education Foundation 25 years ago to give Torrance students more resources for exciting, enriching education. We are deeply grateful to the families, friends, neighbors, businesses and other supporters whose generosity over the past two-and-a-half decades has empowered the Foundation to give Torrance students so many rich learning opportunities.

Some recent highlights:

  • $370,000 –  Equipment, tools and materials for the first nine Elementary Science Laboratory Classrooms. Eight more are coming, to total seventeen later this school year.
  • $136,000 –  168 STEM Initiative grants since 2014 to teachers for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics projects serving 11,000 students.
  • $278,000  –  Installed TUSD’s first district-wide WiFi network, equipping all 33 campuses with WiFi access for students and teachers
  • TEN years of operating South Bay Enrichment Academy summer school for Torrance students. Our original third-grade SBEA students just graduated from high school! More than 16,000 students have spent summers with us.

This year, we are honored and proud to celebrate a quarter-century of giving from our community. Your support has allowed Torrance Education Foundation to play a role in the lives of more than 70,000 TUSD students.

Torrance Education Foundation is here, and always has been, for Torrance kids. Our new website is meant to make that abundantly clear:

We thank all our generous donors for investing in our kids. If you have not already done so this year, PLEASE DONATE TODAY. Your contribution to Torrance Education Foundation is a crucial investment in our young people, helping them prepare for their bright future.
