District English Learner Multicultural Advisory Committee (DELMAC)
The District English Learner Multicultural Advisory Committee (DELMAC) is intended to provide a forum for sharing information with parents, as well as to allow a regular means for parents to communicate their needs, concerns, and suggestions at the District level. DELMAC Activities are designed to engage families in the processes associated with the education of students who are identified as English language learners. Each California public school district, grades kindergarten through 12, with 51 or more English learners must form a committee to advise the district's local governing board on programs and services for English learners. For more information about the requirements and responsibilities of this committee click here.
All families are welcome to attend and participate in all DELMAC Activities. District sponsored translators for Japanese, Korean, and Spanish will be in attendance at all DELMAC Activities to support participation. Translators for additional languages will be provided upon request.

ELMAC is a school-level committee composed of parents, staff, and community members designated to advise school site officials on English learner programs and services. All TUSD school sites organize and host local ELMAC meetings four times per year. Each ELMAC has the opportunity to elect at least one member to represent the school site at the quarterly DELMAC meetings. For information about ELMAC meeting dates and times for your school site, please contact your school’s front office.
