Dear TUSD Families,
As we wrap up the current school year, we will now shift our focus on planning for the 2020-2021 school year.
Public safety and the safety of our students, employees, and families continues to be our priority. Torrance Unified has convened a Reopening of School Task Force to develop options and plans for the 2020-2021 school year. While it is our strong belief that students have a better experience when physically in school as they grow - academically, physically, and social-emotionally, we are planning on providing families other options as well.
We are aware that information regarding COVID-19 is constantly changing and we continue to closely monitor the Governor’s Stay at Home Order, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Orders, and the Los Angeles County Office of Education guidance.
As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, we would like to hear from our families. Please respond to the survey question by Friday, May 29, 2020 (one per family) to assist us with this process:
