Torrance Teacher Institute 

Torrance Unified School District offers a summer institute to help orient new teachers to the school district. Over three-days during the month of August, teachers are provided with in-depth professional development to support the skills, habits, tools, and resources new teachers will need to positively impact the students in their classrooms. 

Teachers with a preliminary credential looking to participate in the TUSD Teacher Induction Program will have an opportunity to attend an Induction Orientation session over the summer. During the orientation, teachers will learn more about the program’s design and what steps they need to take in order to be recommended for a Clear Credential.
