Overview

The Torrance Unified School District Honor Band is not audition-based; rather, our students and staff are “honored” to have the opportunity to perform for our audiences. Our four directors are deeply committed to providing more than 400 students with the experience of being part of a close-knit musical family while performing outstanding shows for appreciative audiences throughout Southern California and beyond.

Although all four bands are highly competitive, the students and directors especially look forward to their combined rehearsals and performances. The students consistently come prepared, demonstrate kindness and professionalism, and are thoughtful toward everyone they encounter. We cannot think of a better group of students to represent Southern California.
