Public safety and the safety of our students, employees, and families continues to be our priority. Torrance Unified has convened a Reopening of School Task Force to develop options and plans for the 2020-2021 school year. While it is our strong belief that students have a better experience when physically in school as they grow - academically, physically, and social-emotionally, we are planning on providing families other options as well.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH) announced late last week that the Safer-At-Home order would continue indefinitely, which means, students WILL NOT RETURN to school for this academic year. We hoped this situation would improve and our students could return to their schools; unfortunately this is no longer possible for this school year.
