After School Clubs: Join today!

We would like to thank the Calle Mayor PTSA for their continued support with our after school clubs, these clubs would not be possible without their support. After School Clubs are available to all students. If you have not done so, please join our PTSA and help us keep these wonderful clubs going. Calle Mayor Middle School was awarded and identified as a Gold Ribbon School due to it's After School Club Programs. PLEASE LISTEN TO SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR CHANGES TO MEETING DATES OF CLUBS.

Speech and Debate: Contact Mr. Stavropoulos for more information about this club. Speech and Debate holds an annual Speech and Debate Invitational where students have an opportunity to compete against other middle schools in Torrance. This club teaches, supports and fosters good public speaking skills with an argumentative/persuasive focus but really it is just a lot of fun. Please listen to the daily announcements for any changes or additional information.  

Rocket Club: We are excited that Mr. Milligan has agreed to teach the rocket club. This club will walk students though multiple aspects of rocketry, from different power sources(wind to fuel), to design. This club provides students information on physics, chemistry, and is a ton of fun.

MODEL UN: Contact Mr. Somoano for more information about this club.  We are waiting to hear from the YMCA if this program is going to be supported this year.

Computer Code Writing: Contact Mr. Foster for more information about this club. This club provides students with the opportunity to learn some computer codong using the raspberry pi.  

Physical Fitness: Contact Mrs. Fowler for more information about this club. This year we are excited to have the Fowlers conduct some specific athletic clinics: Volleyball Clinic, Basketball Clinic and Running Clinics. eSPORTS: Contact Mr. Somoano for information about this club. This is a new club at Calle Mayor and we look forward to have students be a part of it.

Chess: Contact Mr. Balderas for information about joining the chess club, this club meets on Mondays.
