After School Clubs: Join today!

We would like to thank the Calle Mayor PTSA for their continued support with our after school clubs, these clubs would not be possible without their support. After School Clubs are available to all students. If you have not done so, please join our PTSA and help us keep these wonderful clubs going. Calle Mayor Middle School was awarded and identified as a Gold Ribbon School due to it's After School Club Programs. PLEASE LISTEN TO SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR CHANGES TO MEETING DATES OF CLUBS.

Speech and Debate: Contact Mr. Stavropoulos for more information about this club. This club meets in the Cafeteria on Wednesdays(3:00-4:00PM). Speech and Debate holds an annual Speech and Debate Invitational where students have an opportunity to compete against other middle schools in Torrance. This club teaches, supports and fosters good public speaking skills with an argumentative/persuasive focus but really it is just a lot of fun.

MODEL UN: Contact Mr. Somoano for more information about this club. This club meets on Tuesdays (3:10-4:10) in Room 23. 

The first meeting is on 23 OCT, this club will meet two times a month through December. From January- April they will have weekly meeting. 

Model UN Training Conference is: 16-17 March 2019, location TBD.

MUN Summit is April 25- 26th

Computer Code Writing:Contact Mr. Foster for more information about this club.  This club meets on Mondays and Thursdays in Room 19.

Wood Club: Contact  Mr. Fowler for more information about this club.  This club meets on Tuesdays in room 33 from 3:00 to 4:00pm. Meeting Dates: (first TUES. of the month) Nov 6, Dec 4, Jan 8, Feb 5, Mar.5, April 2 and May 7.

Physical Fitness: Contact Mrs. Fowler for more information about this club. This club meets on Mondays(Volleyball/Basketball Club) and Wednesdays(The Running Club).  

After School Tutoring: Students can attend the Calle Mayor Free Student tutoring, provided by dedicated South High Students. All academic areas are supported students can bring in any grade level or class work that they need some help with, they also can do homework or use the computer lab. The tutoring takes place in the Library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:15.
