For Madrona Students Entering Grades 7 and 8 for the 2026-27 School Year, the PowerSchool scheduling window opens on Monday, February 23, 2026 (closes on March 13, 2026)
Incoming Madrona 6th-graders - 2026-27 Course Selection will also be through PowerSchool. The window opens on March 19 and closes on April 10, 2026.

Torrance High School is pleased to be able to offer some advanced courses to interested and qualified 8th graders each year as seats are available. If you're interested in possibly taking one of these courses at the high school next year, please come to the "7th-Grade Parent Night" information meeting. Here's the info on the meeting:

WHY: The link to apply for classes and important information will be provided at the meeting
These high school courses should be attempted only by students with strong study habits and a genuine interest in the subject. Please see the attached "Are You Ready for AP/Honors" document for more information and food for thought on that topic. Also attached are descriptions of the courses available for 8th graders.
