8th-grade Promotion @THS

8th-Grade Promotion begins promptly at 3:30 pm
(Students must arrive no later than 2:45 pm and meet teachers by the west scoreboard. When you arrive, please stay off the field and be mindful of the other middle school’s guests who may still be exiting.)

Promotion takes place at the
TORRANCE HIGH SCHOOL ZAMPERINI STADIUM (NO tickets needed)

2125 Lincoln Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501 - Adjacent to Torrance Elementary

Torrance Elementary parking is limited, and street parking is limited. Consider carpooling. There is plenty of parking in front of the Torrance Aquatic Center - see the map below.

The Madrona Expectations for Dress (Dress Code) apply to PROMOTION

• Boys: Slacks (no jeans) and nice shirts. Ties/Jackets are NOT necessary

• Girls: Nice pants or dresses. No Spike heels. Wedges or Flats only
  (to limit damage to the THS Zamperini Field Artificial Turf)            

• Wearing adornments, such as leis, is NOT ALLOWED during the ceremony. 

• Noisemakers, horns, and yelling or screaming are not allowed during the procession. The students will be entering, and each name will be read aloud. We ask everyone’s cooperation in refraining from using noisemakers so that every family can hear all students' names.  

Torrance Unified continues to prioritize the safety and security of all our families as we celebrate promotions this week. We continue to work closely with our security teams and the Torrance Police Department to ensure that our graduations remain safe and secure, ticket-only events. We will also continue to comply with our Board Policies and Administrative Rules that prohibit immigration officials from entering school property without a warrant.
