School Counseling
A comprehensive school counseling program helps to support the social and emotional development of students, which has a positive influence on academic success. Hull Middle School counselors prepare students to become lifelong learners by focusing on academic, career, and social/emotional development.
School counselors implement a comprehensive school counseling program by providing direct and indirect services such as:
- Academic skills support - including organizational skills, goal-setting, monitoring student progress
- Classroom lessons, group counseling, and individual counseling
- High school, college, and career planning
- Crisis intervention and facilitating student/family referrals
