Mission Statement
J. H. Hull Middle School is committed to fostering a safe, responsible, and respectful school environment that promotes success through achievement, citizenship, and effort.
School History
Our school is named after the first superintendent of Torrance Unified School District, Dr. John Henrich Hull. Dr. Hull served as superintendent from 1947 to 1970, a period when TUSD grew from 4 to 41 schools. Our school opened in 1970 and was originally built using steel portables from Madison School in North Torrance, which closed in 1969.
In 2008 Torrance voters approved Measures Y and Z, which allowed for a rebuild of our school. Hull's brand new campus opened in Fall of 2011 and is currently the district's most technologically wired and environmentally efficient campus.
