Course Scheduling Information
Choosing classes in high school is an important part of planning for graduation and life after high school. Each spring, students select their courses for the next school year based on graduation requirements, personal interests, and future goals. Most high school classes last all year, so students are committing to a full-year schedule. Thoughtful course selection helps create a balanced schedule and supports long-term success. Before choosing classes, students should think about:
- How they’re doing in school now
- Advice from family, teachers, and counselors
- Their strengths and interests
- Activities they’re involved in outside of class
- How motivated and committed they are to their schoolwork
