At South High School, the Career Technical Education (CTE) program provides students with the knowledge, experience, and skills they need to be prepared for college and careers. In CTE courses, students experience hands-on learning and industry experiences, which give purpose to learning by emphasizing real-world skills and practical knowledge within a selected career focus.

CTE pathways range from 2 to 4 years in length and culminate with a capstone-level course. Courses within the same CTE pathway are designed to be taken in sequential order to ensure the development of deeper knowledge and skills over time.
