Spartan Seminar

Spartan Seminar is a dedicated 30-minute period built into the bell schedule each week on Wednesday and Thursday, designed to allow students to receive additional help and support from their teachers. This structured program not only ensures that students get the targeted academic support they need but also helps them build essential skills in time management, self-advocacy, and effective study habits—skills that will serve them well throughout high school and beyond.

Spartan Seminar offers two types of sessions to meet the needs of all students.

  • Closed sessions allow teachers to book students into a session when they see that targeted support would be helpful.
  • Open sessions give students the freedom to choose the class or teacher they would like to attend for additional support.

In both cases, students must be booked into a session ahead of time using the Spartan Seminar Schoology Course.

  • The booking tool opens every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. for that week’s Wednesday and Thursday sessions.
  • Students are encouraged to sign up early to secure the session that best fits their needs.
  • All students are required to book a session for both days and attend the session for which they are booked.
