Band

RMS Advanced Band

Ms. Willett teaches this award winning Band during 5^th period every day. This year long music class is open to all grade levels with the appropriate level of music experience, and is an elective class. The Band performs a number of times during the school year, on and off campus. Past performances include the Winter and Spring Concerts, the South Area Music Festival, the Armed Forces Day Parade, the Lawndale Parade, the RMS Graduation, and the South Bay SCSBOA Music Festival Competition.

RMS Beginning Band

Ms. Willett teaches this Band during 4^th period every day. This year long music class is open to all grade levels as a student’s elective class, no experience is necessary. The Band performs a number of times during the school year, on and off campus. Past performances include the Winter and Spring Concerts, the South Area Music Festival, and the RMS Graduation.

RMS Colorguard (Tall Flags)

Ms. Willett teaches this award winning team on Tuesday’s at Lunch and Thursday’s after school. The team is open to all students. No experience is necessary. The team performs twice during the year. Past performances include the West HS Spirit Days Competition, the Lawndale Parade, and the Armed Forces Day Parade.

RMS Jazz Band

Ms. Willett teaches this band on Wednesday’s and Friday’s at Lunch. The band is open to all students who can meet the minimum music requirements. Audition is necessary. The band performs on and off campus through out the year. Past performances include the Winter and Spring Concerts, Sweet Jazz at SHS, and the RMS Talent Show.

RMS Drumline

Ms. Willett teaches the drumline on Thursday’s at Lunch. The drumline is open to all students. No experience is necessary, but some music experience would help. The drumline performs mainly at the Armed Forces Day Parade.

Choir

Ms. Willett teaches this award winning Choir during 6^th period every day. The accompanist for the Choir is Ms. Savitz. This year long music class is open to all grade levels as a student’s elective class, no experience is necessary. The Choir performs a number of times during the school year, on and off campus. Past performances include the Winter and Spring Concerts, the Torrance Memorial Holiday Festival, the Riviera Home Owners Association Holiday Performance, the TUSD MS Choral Festival, and the Forum Music Festival Competition.
