Accounting Level 1 (Intro to Accounting) & Accounting Level 2 (Accounting With Excel)

Learn how to manage business financial records. Accounting provides a general overview of the wide array of career choices in the accounting field. Practice is provided in manually and/or electronically recording business transactions in a variety of small business organizations. Emphasis is placed on a single proprietorship and a corporation for service and merchandising businesses. Topics include: basic principles and procedures of the accounting cycle, analyzing transactions into debit and credit parts, journalizing transactions, posting to a general ledger, cash control systems, constructing a worksheet, constructing financial statements, recording and adjusting closing entries.

Quickbooks Desktop (PC Only)

Are you looking for a user-friendly way to conduct computerized accounting tasks from your desktop? Then this course is for you. QuickBooks is a practical application of the fundamentals of accounting and uses a computerized accounting software QuickBooks (desktop version). This program manages the business operations of small businesses and fulfill fiduciary responsibilities from an accounting, tax, and record-keeping perspective. Topics include sales process, managing expenses, bank reconciliation and transactions, financial reporting, customizing QuickBooks Desktop, inventory, time and billing, payroll set-up and processing, company set up, adjustments and year-end procedures. This course provides a variety of practice materials to help students' transfer textbook learning to practical applications. Qualified students will have the opportunity to take the Intuit QuickBooks Certification Exam.

QuickBooks Online is a face-to-face class that includes a practical application of the fundamentals of accounting using a cloud-based version of QuickBooks. This program manages the business operations of small businesses and fulfills fiduciary responsibilities from an accounting, tax, and record-keeping perspective. Topics include setting up a new company, working with customers and vendors, banking, and credit card transactions, managing inventory, working with balance sheet and budgets, customizing QuickBooks Online, adjusting and closing the books, and payroll. This class is for all levels and provides a variety of practice applications. This provides a variety of practice materials to help students transfer textbook learning to practical applications. Qualified students have the opportunity to take the Intuit QuickBooks Certification Exam.
