COVID-19 Information
Torrance Adult School (TAS) follows the COVID-19 guidelines provided by Torrance Unified School District (TUSD).
Revised 01/22/2024: Guidelines were recently updated by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH).
Everyone with COVID must stay home away from others for at least 24 hours except to get medical care. You may end isolation after 24 hours if you meet the criteria below. You may find additional updated guidance and information located on the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health website.
Ending Isolation if you have symptoms:
- Day 0 is your first day of symptoms.
- Day 1 is the first full day after your symptoms developed.
You must stay home until:
- A minimum of 24 hours have passed since the onset of symptoms
- No fever (100.4℉ or greater) for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicines
- Symptoms are mild and improving
Ending Isolation if you never develop symptoms:
- Day 0 is the day your positive test was taken.
- Day 1 is the first full day after your positive test was taken.
There is no infectious period for the purpose of isolation or exclusion
If you develop symptoms, the criteria above will apply
Masking:
- Students: A well-fitting, high-quality mask is strongly recommended returning after a positive test through Day 10.
- Employees: A well-fitting, high-quality mask must be worn around others for the full 10 days. CAL/OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Non-Emergency Regulations
Reporting COVID-19 Test Results:
- Parents are required to report all COVID-19 test results for their student via the Google Form for Reporting for Students.
- Adult Students are required to report all COVID-19 test results for themselves via the Google Form for Reporting for Students.
- Staff are required to report all COVID-19 test results via the Google Form for Reporting for Staff.
