ShareFest Work Day

ShareFest is a non-profit organization that believes in "Building strong South Bay communities by fostering volunteerism and preparing youth to lead positive change." A moto JMS emulates with our students. It is essential that the community creatively collaborate together to meet the needs in the lives of these children and their families.

One important component of Sharefest's vision is service to their community. As a result of their work in the community corporations, businesses, and organizations have approached ShareFest to act as the essential interface with the community to provide opportunities for their employees and people to engage in meaningful community service. To bridge this need, Sharefest has created a Corporate Services program as a solution for businesses looking for community service projects. JMS had several projects and wrote a applied to this ShareFest program for assistance and we were selected! ShareFest brought the Corporate Service program to JMS on Thursday, June 8th along with 30 workers from the Bellwether corporation The team renovated our Egyptian Garden, painted a spirit mural along our entryway path, painted our risers, and beautified our side entry way off Carson Street with new landscaping, a painted wall and added a paw print mural. The team took really good care of JMS and we are thankful for their hard work.

Thank you ShareFest and Bellwether!
