Yearbook Cover Design Contest- Submissions due Friday, April 10th
Turn in your unique design to the main office for a chance to create the yearbook cover!
Follow these simple rules:
-”Edison Elementary” and “2025-2026” must be included
- Use an 8.5”x11” sheet of plain white, unlined paper (vertical/portrait orientation)
- Make it colorful! You can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. The more color the better!
- Write your name and teacher on the back. Do NOT sign your name to the cover twork.

2026 Edison Bike Rodeo Thursday 4/09/2026
Fill out the permission slip NOW and turn it in. Permission slips, bicycles, and helmets are MANDATORY to participate in the event. This bicycle safety program, hosted by the PTA, encourages 3rd-5th grade students to show off their cycling safety knowledge (through a written assessment) and their cycling expertise (through a skills assessment using their own bicycle and helmet). Please review the welcome letter, have your child review Bike Safety for Students, and fill out a permission slip NO LATER THAN April 7, two days before the morning of the event.

The Spring Glow Party will be held on April 17. There will be music, there will be dancing, there will be pizza, there will be activities!. More info to come, but hope to see you all there!

ATTENDANCE - AND INDEPENDENT STUDY CONTRACTS
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they have a fever 100 degrees or vomiting. Students can still complete an independent study contract when absent due to illness to receive attendance credit, up to 15 days during the school year. You can contact the office staff and your child’s teacher for an independent study contract.

If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
