STEAM Fair 2026 Due February 11
First place $50 Amazon Gift Card and will move on to the District competition on March 5th. $25 Amazon Gift Card. Project is due Wed February 11, Steam Night Thursday Feb 12. Turn in an Invention (all grades), Collection (TK-1st), or Experimental Design (4-5th grade Project.
Golden Keep it Real Challenge over the break is due Jan 6. Anyone who turns in a Steam Fair project by 2/11 will earn 4 golden tickets. Saturday workshops with Edison parents dates TBD.

Straw Ballot for the 2026-2027 PTA Executive Board is now open!
Do you know someone that would do a great job helping or running one of our school functions? Is someone really organized, outgoing, reliable, or disorganized, introverted, but reliable?
A straw ballot is for suggesting candidates that might potentially want to fill a role for a position. We are asking our PTA members for ideas for candidates for Officers for our PTA Executive Board for the 26-27 school year.
You may self-nominate or nominate that other PTA member that you know will be just perfect for an upcoming board position. Please submit straw ballot nominees by January 9th, 2026.

ATTENDANCE - AND INDEPENDENT STUDY CONTRACTS
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they have a fever 100 degrees or vomiting. Students can still complete an independent study contract when absent due to illness to receive attendance credit, up to 15 days during the school year. You can contact the office staff and your child’s teacher for an independent study contract.
For any medical or illness questions, contact our school LVN Lilliana Garcia. You can reach her at garcia.lilliana@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
