We are asking all families to complete the Universal Benefits application to ensure that deserving families receive benefits in the future. All breakfast and lunches are free to TUDS families this year. We lost $20K for our school budget! Please complete ASAP.

Edison Library - We need volunteers! We will start Mid Oct.
Our library is run by parent volunteers and we need 1-2 volunteers per class to help run it. Look at the attached slides to see what day of the week/time your child needs you in the library. Please also return your library permission slip so that they can check out books beginning in October.
You must be a cleared volunteer to volunteer at school.

Aloha Dance and PTA Membership Drive Friday 9/26

Our PTA volunteers are busily planning and preparing our Edison Membership Aloha Dance scheduled for this Friday, September 26th, from 6pm to 8pm. But this event will not be possible without a team of volunteers to help chaperone, check in families etc....
We also need help with set-up in the afternoon and clean-up afterwards. The sign-up is arranged in 45-minute shifts. Please click on the link below and sign up to volunteer for this event!

ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Mrs. Angelina Briseno or call 310-533-4513 x 2883. If your student comes to school with a cast, you need to bring a doctors note with provisions for recess and duration of time.
If your child is absent for any other reason, you must let us know the reason via email at EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, or call the office and dial extension #2.
You may request an independent study contract for up to 15 days in the school year. Please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
