Summer Reading and iReady Golden Ticket
If you completed iReady math over the Summer, you don’t need to turn anything in as we have logs. Summer Reading requires a log to be turned in. Anyone completing one or the other will receive a certificate, Golden Ticket (s) and Italian icees should have received it last week! Come to the office afterschool to redeem your Icee.

Student Emergency Kits - Due 9/18 by Back to School Night
You may purchase an emergency kit to support 5th Grade events for $12 at https://tinyurl.com/EdisonEmergencyKitForm2025 or create your own. The kits should include water or juice, a snack, a blanket, tissue and a hand sanitizer at a minimum.
Edison Library - We need volunteers!
Our library is run by parent volunteers and we need 1-2 volunteers per class to help run it. Please also return your library permission slip so that they can check out books beginning in October.

ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Mrs. Angelina Briseno or call 310-533-4513 x 2883. If your student comes to school with a cast, you need to bring a doctors note with provisions for recess and duration of time.
If your child is absent for any other reason, you must let us know the reason via email at EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, or call the office and dial extension #2.
You may request an independent study contract for up to 15 days in the school year. Please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
