Good Morning Edison Eagles! We had a wonderful turn out for our in person assembly. There is no recording of the live assembly. Please calendar the last Monday of the month for “Walk Your Child” day and attend our in-person assembly in the quad.

iReady And Reading Challenge - Last day to turn in Sept 5
Thank you to all the students who participated this summer doing iReady and the Reading Challenge. Please turn in your forms for reading by this Friday.

We are asking all families to complete the Universal Benefits application to ensure that deserving families receive benefits in the future. All breakfast and lunches are free to TUDS families this year.
PBIS Playground Expectations:
Taking care of equipment is your responsibility. If you check out a ball, you must return it. We will be reviewing playground expectations this week and implementing our ball check out system for upper grades this week. Look for the sign ups for students to volunteer.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025
Join us for Back-to-School night and meet your teachers. NO STUDENTS in class at back-to-school night due to space.
Minimum Day Schedule:
TK/K No Change
1st - 3rd: 2:02 PM (One hour earlier)
4th - 5th: 2:12 PM (One hour earlier)
Back to School Schedule:
5:30 - 6:00 3-5th Grade
6:00 - 6:30 PTA Meeting - Please meet in the cafeteria
6:30 - 7:00 TK - 2nd Grade
Student Emergency Kits - Due 9/18 by Back to School Night
You may purchase an emergency kit to support 5th Grade events for $12 at https://tinyurl.com/EdisonEmergencyKitForm2025 or create your own. The kits should include water or juice, a snack, a blanket, tissue and a hand sanitizer at a minimum.
Fall Picture Day - Tues 9/16
You can place your order on mylifetouch.com using your Picture Day ID: EVTTKGRZ9. Order before midnight on Picture Day to get FREE shipping!
Your child can also bring their completed flyer with cash or check on Picture Day. Orders after Picture Day must be placed online only on mylifetouch.com.
Parent Helpers Wanted: Help us make the Picture Day smooth and effortless. Contact the office if you'd like to volunteer at Picture Day.

ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate due to Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days up to 15 days maximum, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
