Talent Show on 2/23 Fri at 5:30 - 7:00 Doors open at 5:10 @ North High PAC. Cash only - $2.00 for Edison students, $5.00 for Edison PTA Members, and $10 for all others. Funds goes towards paying for the visual/music/lighting crew and for the facility use. Hope you can make it to watch Edison’s talent.

Edison STEAM Night: Thur 2/22 starts 6 PM @ Cafeteria -Come view our STEAM projects, and find out who won 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention. Complete a Scavenger Hunt, Build a car track and test a Rocket Launcher. Free Entry and come and go at your convenience between 6 - 7:30 PM.
All STEAM Fair participants will receive a Golden Ticket (worth 5 Keep it REALs)

Kindergarten wins for highest participation in a grade level with 24 students. Mrs. Hopf’s class is the top class participation.

Comic Competiion: Kindness is Cool and Express your Expressions
Due March 1 - Limit 2 comic entries per student
Theme: Kindness is Cool or Funny Expressions (i.e. it’s raining cats and dogs)
Must be school appropriate - Include your first name, last initial, teacher’s name and Room # on the back. Outline your comic in square panels.
Turn into Ms. Blazak’s room or Main office. Winner will be published in the class newspaper.
2023-24 Yearbook Cover Contest March 22 due date
We need student submissions for this year's yearbook cover! The submission has to say the year “2023-24 and Edison Elementary,” It must be vertical orientation on 8.5”x11” paper, and include your name on the back side.

IF YOUR CHILD IS COVID POSITIVE
Please complete the following self-reporting if your child is Covid Positive. If your child was requested to test because they are a close contact, please also complete the self-reporting form.
Any student who tests positive should notify us using the provided reporting link.
ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate because a family member is Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
