Save the Date- Edison’s Talent Show in February 23 (see flyer)
Student Council and PTA is hosting a school talent show on Friday, February 23, 2024.
If you want to perform, please click on this survey by January 19 or open the attached flyer with the hyperlink to sign up.
Be prepared to audition during your lunch on January 23 for TK-2 or January 24 for 3-5 grades, but if you need more time to prep, you can have a week for Make Up Audition day on Tuesday, Jan 30. WE MAY ONLY HAVE TIME TO VIEW PART OF THE AUDITION SO IT CAN BE A PARTIAL PERFORMANCE. Must have your music (song title), costume ideas, and other materials for your audition. If you are not prepared for your partial performance, you will not pass the audition.
The actual Talent Show will be on Friday, February 23 at the North High Performing Arts Center. The dress rehearsal will be held the same week after school and all participants MUST be at the dress rehearsal. Limit your full actual performance to no more than 3 minutes. Please make sure the Music and content/lyrics must be appropriate for school age students.

2023-24 Yearbook Cover Contest March 22 due date
We need student submissions for this year's yearbook cover! The submission has to say the year “2023-24 and Edison Elementary,” It must be vertical orientation on 8.5”x11” paper, and include your name on the back side.

IF YOUR CHILD IS COVID POSITIVE
Please complete the following self-reporting if your child is Covid Positive. If your child was requested to test because they are a close contact, please also complete the self-reporting form.
Any student who tests positive should notify us using the provided reporting link.
ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate because a family member is Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
