Back to School Night 9/14 5:30 - 7:00 pm for Adults Only
Please join us and meet your classroom teacher. This is the time when the teacher will go over class expectations and what to expect this year.
Back to School Schedule is:
- 5:30 - 6:00 3rd - 5th Grade
- 6:00 - 6:30 PTA Association Meeting
- 6:30 - 7:00 TK - 2nd Grade
This is also a Minimum Day on 9/14, ending school one hour early:
- TK-K (no change in time)
- 1st - 3rd school ends at 2:03
- 4th - 5th school ends at 2:12
Spiritwear will be on sale at Back to School night so bring cash or checks.
Picture Day is coming up Tuesday 9/19
Dress for success! This photo is for their school ID and Yearbook photo.
The picture day order forms were sent home already, however you can also order online at: http://mylifetouch.com and enter ID: EVT3RRC2F to order optional photos. Make up day 10/19. Regular Weekly/Daily volunteers may take a photo for a volunteer badge as well from 8 AM - 9 AM.
Jr. Cheer Clinic - North High School
Sign up for participate in the NHS Jr. Cheer Clinics. Dates are:

PBIS: Bathroom Expectations
- Respect: Little Talking, use restroom and return to class quickly
- Empathy: Give others privacy, clean up after yourself
- Awareness: Flush, Wash hands with soap and water, throw away trash, and report any problems.
- Learning: Practice good hygiene.

Register on PowerSchool at www.ps.tusd.org to complete your annual registration. We’re at 80%!
It’s also important that everyone complete a meal application at: www.linqconnect.com. Our school gets funding for all students that qualify.

Student Emergency Kit - Due September 15!
Thank You from Edison PTA’s 5th Grade Committee for pre-ordering your Emergency Kits and helping us to raise funds for end-of-year activities!
Pre-orders are now closed. A very limited number of non-preordered kits may be available to purchase at the below distribution times, while supplies last.
Pre-ordered Emergency Kits will be distributed this week after school:
- September 12-13, after school at the front gate
- September 14, after school at the back gate
- Any remaining kits can be picked up at Back to School Night.

Art experience is not required just a love of art, and willingness to share it with students. IF YOUR CHILD IS COVID POSITIVE
Please complete the self-reporting form if your child is Covid Positive. If your child was requested to test because they are a close contact, please also complete the self-reporting form.
Any student who tests positive should notify us using the provided reporting link.
ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate because a family member is Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
