Today was our first in-person Assembly as today is the last Monday of the Month, and Walk Your Child to Class day (WYC2C).
All Mondays (unless Mon. is a holiday, then Tue) we will host a Zoom Assembly for students which will be recorded and shared with families. We will however host an in-person assembly once a month on the last Monday of the Month. This is also the Walk Your Child to Class day, like today.
Congratulations to Edison Eagles as we received this year’s South Bay’s Favorites 2023, as the only TUSD elementary school receiving such an honor.
Keeping it R.E.A.L Students of the Week!
At Edison, we practice PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavior Intervention System, where we focus on Keeping it R.E.A.L. For those of you who are new to Edison R.E.A.L stands for, R for Respect, E for Empathy, A for Awareness, L for Learning. We do weekly raffles on Monday and if the student is chosen, they get to pick an item from the Treasure Box.
Today’s Keep it REAL Raffle winners are: Meryam Z, Kyrin C, Hamza A, Evie H, and Rockwell S. Please put your Keep it REAL Raffle stub into the barrel in the office by Friday.

All parents need to Register on Powerschool and complete the meal application as soon as possible since this was due prior to your child’s first day of school.

Please review it in detail, and return items like the Library Check Out form, Emergency Kit orders, and Volunteer Opportunities, etc. You can pre-order your child's Emergency Kit from PTA online here.

5th Grade Elections coming end of September
5th grader Student Council Elections will take place at the end of Sept so anyone thinking about running should begin considering what office you plan to run for. Officers are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Commissioner of Publicity, and Commissioner of Athletics.
Upcoming Dates to Remember:
- Monday, Sept 4: Labor Day no School
- Thursday, September 14, 2023: Back to School Night
- 5:30-6:00 for 3rd - 5th grade classes, then
- 6:00 PTA meeting
- 6:30 - 7:00 is the TK - 2nd grade B2SN.

Sign your students up for Bricks for Kids TK - 5th for fun enrichment classes after school here at Edison.
