Setting a Strong Foundation for the Future - iLead

The iLEAD program is designed for 8th grade students who have the desire and will to grow in their leadership skills, improve academic achievement, and set foundational skills for college readiness. The iLEAD recruiting process seeks students who are motivated to do well, who are serious about their academic future, and who have a good standing within the school. Invitations to join and sent to select students recommended by their teaching team. Students are then interviewed prior to the final selection. Only twenty students from each middle school are selected for this opportunity to participate in this enriching program. iLEAD students participate in on and off campus activities and opportunities designed to help them maximize their leadership potential and learn more about what it means to be a college-bound student. Opportunities include self-reflection and goal setting, motivational guest speakers, university visits, and high school workshops and tour.
