8th Grade Families,
We are excited to begin the transition process for our 8th grade students as they prepare for high school!
This will be the first official transition event for our incoming 9th grade families. During the evening, families will:
- Learn about campus life at West High School
- Hear from current West High students
- Become familiar with 9th-grade classes and academic expectations
- Learn about summer opportunities
- Connect with counselors and school staff
This event is a wonderful opportunity to begin preparing for a successful high school experience.
Principal Jenna Murata will be sending a detailed email to all 8th grade families with additional information about the event, including important logistics and next steps.
Additional Transition Events
West High School has also shared a full schedule of upcoming transition events, including assemblies, course selection presentations, counseling meetings, auditions, workshops, and athletic information nights. Families are encouraged to review the event schedule and mark their calendars accordingly.
