Jefferson Jaguar Students and Families,
As we approach the month of August and look forward to the return of scholars, a month from today, Thursday, August 25, the signs of our campus being fully prepared for Jaguars’ return is evident from the hard work and preparation of our amazing staff. We look forward to and anticipate the return of our students here to campus with our first day of school August 25, with classes beginning at 8:40.
This preparation includes registration!
Registration is August 17 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Jefferson. During registration students will receive their class schedule, locker information, may purchase PE uniforms, explore the campus to locate classrooms (to help ease those first day jitters), and have their school i.d photo taken. Specifics on photo packet purchasing will be coming soon.
Last and certainly not least for those that are in need of updating their child’s vaccination, we will host Partners for Healthy Kids Vaccination Van throughout the day of registration. Please see the attached flier for more information. To reserve a time please call the office. Mrs. Dungy will be happy to assist you during summer office hours. August 9-August 22: 8:00 am-3:30 pm
Upon your arrival of registration, please be sure to have proof of online registration through PowerSchool (an email on your mobile or print out work perfect) in order to be sure the registration process is as smooth as possible. Communication on how to register your Jaguar will be sent out today from our district office.
A full day of registration creates flexibility for our families to ensure that there is ample opportunity throughout the day to take advantage of campus being open for our returning students and all of our new Jaguars we look forward to meeting. Please come at your convenience and throughout the day. Past years have resulted in the morning hours tend to be the busiest, something to consider, if your times are flexible.
Speaking of our new Jaguars… NEW STUDENTS JOIN US FOR CAMP JAGUAR!!
On August 19 we will welcome our new students to Jefferson for CAMP JAGUAR. From 9:30 am-12:30 pm our new students are invited to enjoy time with our WEB team (Where Everybody Belongs). Students will enjoy fun activities to become more familiar with the campus, practice opening lockers, meet new and returning Jaguars alike and much more!
If you are a new student to Jefferson (all grades are welcome, 6th, 7th and 8th), we encourage you to attend. No registration is necessary and the program is provided free of charge to all our scholars.
Thank you to our PTSA president, Jenn Gerson and the team of volunteers that have already begun to help in facilitating registration, support Camp Jaguar and MANY more tremendous experiences throughout the year for our students.
For those of you looking for an opportunity to volunteer, our PTSA would be grateful for help in assisting students and parents in the registration process or any other activities and events they sponsor.
