Dear Jaguar families,
Jefferson Middle School PTSA is participating in the 2020 SKECHERS Virtual Pier-to-Pier Friendship Walk with Torrance Education Foundation.
Due to the pandemic fundraising can be difficult. Over the last five years, out PTA has partnered with the Step it Up organization to raise nearly $28,000 per year to support our teachers in the classroom and our counseling department with needed supplies. Our PTA also funds programs like Red Ribbon Week, Dia de los Muertos celebration, Multicultral Day, Greek Day, Astonomy Night, school dances, and many other fun events for our students. All TUSD schools are working with the Torrance Education Foundation to make this year's Skechers Walk the best ever. We would like Torrance to have the highest rate of participation amongst South Bay school districts. Last year we came in second place behind Redondo Beach Unified. They are a third the size of Torrance! We are up for the challenge and ready to win! This will be the only major fundraiser we do this year.
We invite you to register as a member of our Team Jaguar PTSA and help raise funds for our school! You can also register with another approved team from our school. Please make sure you select Jefferson Middle School from the drop-down school menu. Don’t forget to choose the Torrance Education Foundation when selecting where youwould like your contribution to go.
The virtual walk is on Sunday, October 25, at 10 am PST with a live stream presentation.
100% of your $30 registration fee will be donated back to our school and help the Torrance Education Foundation receive a grant from the SKECHERS Foundation.
