Principal's Message

July 5, 2022
Dear Arnold Alleycat Community,
It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as your new principal of Arnold Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead and be a part of such a strong, culturally diverse community which is focused on educating the whole child and preparing each student as lifelong learners.
I want to share a little about myself with you. I have served in the field of education for over 18 years and have had the privilege of working in schools with students and staff from grades TK-12 in two districts. I have taught students at the middle and high school level, served as a mentor to new and veteran teachers at all levels, was an Elementary Assistant Principal, a High School Assistant Principal and a Special Education Coordinator. The partnership between my breadth of experience and insight to where students are headed academically and socially coupled with the school's accomplishments is a formula that will yield success for all students.
On a personal level, while I am not a native to California, I am glad to have made the South Bay my home. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband and son at the beach, going glamping, playing/watching sports and seeing our family and friends.
The elementary years are such an important time in developing as a student and help to shape future success. It is important to me that everyone - student, teacher, staff, parent, community member- are excited to be here and feel welcome. You will find me in the hallways, classrooms and on the playground getting to know your child(ren). I will work hard to communicate and build relationships with you so we can work together to support learning in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. In addition, I look forward to working hand-in-hand with the teachers and staff to ensure our students receive high quality curriculum and instruction that is both engaging and challenging.
I look forward to working with each of you to make the 2022-2023 school year a success for all of our students. Please take some time this summer to enjoy each other and I look forward to meeting you at Arnold Elementary in August!
