Dear Arnold Families,
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am thrilled to begin another year here at this amazing school where each unique student is inspired to “Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it.”
We have much to be proud of at Arnold Elementary! We truly embrace our diversity and encourage each and every student to reach their greatest potential. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to provide all students with a strong foundation of core skills while developing their abilities to think critically and independently. The result has been outstanding test scores, innovative instruction, effective intervention programs, and students who are well-prepared for the future. Collaboration, hands-on learning, deeper thinking and problem solving are all common place in our classrooms, K-5. It is a very exciting time for education as teachers are collaborating weekly to improve their practice, and students are taking a more active role in their own education. Rather than simply “giving” students the information, teachers are inspiring students to “discover” the information themselves. They are also learning tolerance, acceptance and kindness on a daily basis through our PBIS program. Our future leaders are developing right in front of our eyes here at Arnold Elementary.
While we are proud of these accomplishments, we know that none of this would have been possible without the strong partnership that exists between school and home. Arnold parents put in thousands of volunteer hours every year which is critical to both our academic and extra-curricular programs. It is this dedication that has made Arnold such a remarkable school!
We hope this website is a valuable resource and a general guide to all parents and students at Arnold Elementary. Be sure to take a look often as it will be updated to reflect what is happening on campus. Also, please be sure to sign up for the weekly Alleycat Times Eblast for all of the latest, important info you will want to know throughout the year. Here’s to a great 2018-2019 school year. Go Alleycats!
