After School Academic Support Programs


Homework Club
Room 8 - 3:30 - 4:30  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday

Located in Room 8, the Homework Club provides a quiet place to finish up any assignments and to study.  
We have computers and printing available, as well as any supplies you might need (color pencils, stapler, glue stick etc).

This is open to all students on a drop-in basis.  Students do not need to stay the whole period if they do not wish to.  All attending must sign in/out when arriving and leaving the Homework Club.


Math Club
Wednesday Only - Room 30  3:30-4:30

Any students needing a little extra help in Math are welcome to drop in.  One of our wonderful Math teachers is available during this time to answer any mathematical questions you may have.  Bring your math assignments with you and get your questions answered.  Students are expected to stay the entire time.


Science Tutoring
Tuesday - Room 36
Thursdays - Room 11
3:30 - 4:30

Tutoring is available on these days for any: homework help, makeup tests, test corrections or general questions.

The Torrance Public Library - on-line one-to-one person help

BrainFuse is sponsored by the Torrance Public library. You will need a free library card for this.

Homework help is only a click away.  The Torrance Library provides homework support for anyone with a library card.    They have an on-line help system that will connect you to a real live tutor.  They also have in-library help at several branches and the main library.  This is a great resource if you need more tutor assistance with an assignment.   In addition, for ELD students, this resource has tutors who speak a variety of languages.

Khan Academy

Having trouble understanding "Simple Equations" in Algebra?  Not quite getting how photosynthesis works?  Have no fear.  At the Khan Academy you can find mini video lessons on multiple subjects.  This highly regarded website offers over two thousand lessons on such subjects as Algebra, Basic Arithmetic, Biology, History and so much more. IXL

This is a great website to practice math skills.   It is designed for Kindergarten to 8th grade students.   The exercises include detailed explanations to help you work through the math problems. You do not have to have a membership to work on this site. But non-members have limited practice time.  Go to IXL: https://www.ixl.com/
