Torrance TYKES – California State Preschool Program

Torrance TYKES is our district’s California State Preschool Program (CSPP), providing high-quality early learning experiences for children ages 2.9–4/5 at six school sites: Torrance Elementary, Wood, Arlington, Lincoln, Arnold (LAUNCH), and Carr.

Our TYKES classrooms offer a nurturing, play-based environment that supports all areas of development. These programs also serve as general education classroom placements for some of our students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), allowing children of all abilities to learn and grow together.

TYKES is currently enrolling! Families who meet income eligibility requirements are encouraged to visit the Torrance TYKES website or call their office for more information about enrollment opportunities.
