Our Preschool Program
Class Sessions:
- AM (8:15-11:15) and PM (12:00-3:00) sessions; Monday-Friday
At LAUNCH Preschool, all classrooms use curriculum and learning materials that are developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive. Classes support each child's physical development by providing engaging and safe indoor and outdoor space, equipment, materials, and guidelines for active play and movement.
Teachers plan lessons and activities that support the learning and content standards outlined in the California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations and California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks. We want our learners to develop their sense of self, character, and overall life skills.
How We Use the DRDP:
At LAUNCH Preschool, we use the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) to learn more about your child’s growth and development. The DRDP is an observation-based tool that helps teachers look at how children are learning, playing, and interacting across different areas—such as communication, social-emotional skills, problem solving, and physical development.
Teachers gather information during everyday routines and activities, so children are not “tested” in a formal way. Instead, the DRDP gives us a clear picture of your child’s present levels and helps us plan meaningful learning experiences that build on their strengths
