After School Programs for Your Student

TUSD DevELOPment Academy

We are pleased to offer our TUSD DevELOPment Academy, an expanded learning enrichment program that provides hands-on engaging learning experiences that focus on developing the positive academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of participating students. "Expanded learning” includes before school, after school, summer, or intersession learning services. Families can have peace of mind, knowing their child is being taken care of in a supportive and safe environment outside of school hours, but still at school.

Families can apply through the parent portal in PowerSchool. If you need assistance logging in to your parent portal account, please contact the main office.

After School Club Program

This program is a partnership between the city of Torrance Community Services Department and our Torrance Unified School District.

The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in grades 1st-8th. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, arts, crafts, and a variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day.

This program is based on a ratio of one staff member to ten youth at Elementary Schools and one staff member to thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited and participant minimums are required.
