Mrs. Laurene Hegge

Hello, I’m Mrs. Hegge.  I am one of the Fourth Grade teachers.  This year begins my twenty-first year teaching at Fern but my thirty-seventh year teaching.  I taught sixteen years in the parochial schools before coming to TUSD.  I have taught Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades. I  received my Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Northridge and completed my teaching credential and Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University.  

I have been happily married for 34 years.  I am a very proud mom to two grown boys.  My eldest is married and has 2 beautiful children.  They live close by so I get to see them often.  My youngest son is in the United States Air Force stationed in Abilene, Texas. He just became a Staff Sergeant.  In my free time,  you can catch me playing, reading, singing, dancing, and swimming with my grandchildren.  I am so blessed.
