Meeting on Tuesday, February 24th - 6pm via Zoom

Dear parents and students,

Magruder Middle School would like to invite the parents of all English Language Learners to our third English Learner Multicultural Advisory Committee Meeting (ELMAC) for this school year.

Our ELMAC meeting date and time will be on Tuesday, February 24th at 6:00 pm via Zoom. We will email the zoom link on Tuesday morning.

The invitation linked below will be sent home with your student. Please let us know if you can attend the Zoom meeting.

At this meeting, we will discuss many important topics regarding our school, our ELD program and your child’s education.  We will discuss important information about upcoming ELPAC Tests and other state testing, helpful websites, requirements for exiting the ELD Program, and much more!   We will also discuss important parent information and ideas for student success. Please join us! Interpreters will be available.

Translators will be available in Spanish, Urdu, Vietnamese and more! Please join us! All are welcome!  Please let us know if you plan to attend and if you need an interpreter by responding to this email or by filling out the attached form.

Estimados padres y estudiantes:

La Escuela Intermedia Magruder invita a los padres de todos los estudiantes que están aprendiendo inglés a nuestra tercera reunión del Comité Asesor Multicultural para Estudiantes de Inglés (ELMAC) de este año escolar.

La fecha y hora de nuestra reunión del ELMAC será el martes 24 de febrero a las 6:00 p. m. por Zoom. Enviaremos el enlace de Zoom por correo electrónico el martes por la mañana.
La invitación a continuación se enviará a casa con su estudiante. Por favor, infórmenos si puede asistir a la reunión de Zoom.

En esta reunión, abordaremos diversos temas importantes sobre nuestra escuela, nuestro programa de Desarrollo del Idioma Inglés (ELD) y la educación de su hijo/a. Analizaremos información importante sobre las próximas pruebas ELPAC y otras pruebas estatales, sitios web útiles, requisitos para salir del Programa ELD y mucho más. También compartiremos información importante para los padres e ideas para el éxito estudiantil. ¡Acompáñenos! Habrá intérpretes disponibles.

Habrá traductores disponibles en español, urdu, vietnamita y más. ¡Acompáñenos! ¡Todos son bienvenidos! Por favor, infórmenos si planea asistir y si necesita un intérprete respondiendo a este correo electrónico o completando el formulario adjunto.
