Dear Parents,
We would like to remind you not to bring food and beverages for your child's classroom, they will not be allowed. Classroom celebrations involving food are limited to compliant snacks as listed and approved per the TUSD Wellness Policy.
The Torrance Unified School District’s “Wellness Policy” is committed to providing school environments that promote and protect children’s health, well–being, and ability to learn by supporting healthy eating and physical activity. Many of the treats that parents may purchase, although with good intentions, do not fit the Wellness Policy nutritional guidelines. The TUSD Wellness Policy is located on the Nutrition Service Website at tusd.org/nutrition-services.
