Each year, students in grades five, seven, and nine participate in the California Physical Fitness Test, also called the PFT. California has chosen the FITNESSGRAM® as the annual physical fitness test for students in California public schools.
USC Basketball and Anza Elementary School have teamed up once again to put together a fun group experience for Anza students, teachers, staff, parents, families and friends!
The OE applications will be online this year. Other than collecting the data online, all the other OE processes will remain the same. The links to the forms will be available at https://www.tusd.org/parents/enrollment/open-enrollment
Please read through the attached circular for more info about the upcoming Health Education session for 5th grade. Parents can preview contents and have an option to remove their child(ren) from part or all of this education through a written consent to the class teacher by Jan 17, 2019.
We are delighted to officially announce the launch of our website. Our goal with this new website is to provide families an easier way to learn about school and district events, keep up with classroom details and campus changes. The new website is interactive and gives better access to calendar events, school forms and best of all is mobile friendly.
The safety and welfare of our students is always our highest priority at Anza Elementary School. Occasionally we get reports from around the community of students encountering a suspicious person or vehicle when walking to or from school. We want to take this opportunity to remind parents to talk to their child(ren) about safely walking to and from school.
The California Education funding model is complicated and can be difficult to understand. Join us on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 7 pm at Torrance High School as we explain some of the complexities of California school finance.
